This is video footage of the fire that broke out on Earth Day, April 22nd 2009, in Horry County, specifically around the North Myrtle Beach area. A friend and myself drove right into the heart of it to get some footage. Needless to say we got pretty close. Enjoy.

Myrtle Beach’s magnificent Ocean Forest Hotel opened formally on Friday evening February 21, 1930. The hotel standing twenty-nine feet above sea level was the finest resort between New York and Miami. It stood 10 stories tall and cost 1 million dollars to build in 1929.
