There is a weather delay in today’s 1st round in the championship event and players had to leave because of the threat of lightening. it made me think … how do they mark where their golfballs are to make sure either weather or people don’t move them until they return – which could be minutes, hours, or the next day? I know they use coins or something during normal play but in the rain (or wind) that could move and also there is the risk of people tampering unless they have course marshalls everywhere watching for that.
specifically I am interested in the positioning of the various golfballs. I know they resume as soon as they can (I have seen them play in a fairly heavy rain)
